From Arutz Sheva
MK Ofer Pines-Paz (Labor) lashed out at Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert over the country’s burgeoning poverty statistics. He said, “Ehud Olmert is hoodwinking the public. Instead of implementing an overall plan for fighting poverty, as he promised, he arranges press conferences and visits by public relations personnel at soup kitchens.”
He accused the Likud and Kadima parties of “carrying out, in the name of economic growth, policies that are destroying Israeli society.” In contrast, he said the Labor Party would implement policies that would “serve society and promote economic growth for the entire public and not just for the rich.”
