[Israel] Peretz Calls for Unity – Vows to Address Poverty

Speaking in party headquarters on Thursday, Labor leader Amir Peretz called for unity, to end all internal rifts and called on party members to work together towards an election victory. Some 1,000 Laborites were on hand for the event.

Peretz added, “There is no difference between a hungry Jewish child and a hungry Arab child,” adding he will focus on alleviating the suffering of the alarming number of families living under the poverty line.
