WORLD Vision Uganda and SNV, a Dutch development organisation, have signed a partnership agreement to establish projects to fight poverty in three districts.
Under the pact signed on Wednesday in Kampala, World Vision will provide over sh70m while SNV Uganda will give capacity development support worth over sh200m.
The projects will cover income generation, employment, education, water and sanitation and economic development.
The beneficiary districts are Bundibugyo, Rakai and Kiboga
The SNV country director, Julian Wood, signed on behalf of his organisation, while World Vision Uganda national director Rudo Kwaramba did so for the charity.
"The partnership will strengthen our work in the communities to enable children have a better future," Kwaramba said.
Wood was confident the project would deliver and hoped that other NGOs would follow suit.
SNV operates in 26 districts while World Vision is a Christian NGO working mainly in rural areas.
