I think it is great that CARE is trying to help mothers and children in poverty. But I only see projects in other countries. What about the mothers and children in this very country. Yes, we have it much better than most of the poverty stricken 3rd world countries. But there are so many families that do not. Right here in the states. They may as well be in a 3rd world country. My children and I are among them. I am blessed with many things but struggle every month just to try and pay my rent. Not to mention personal hygiene, food, clothing, diapers, etc. I am surprised to see that an organization so immersed in helping poverty stricken families not have something set up in the states.
