Projects aimed at cutting poverty and crime in communities across Falkirk are to receive almost £6m.
The cash from the Scottish Government's Fairer Scotland Fund, to be spent over the next three years, aims to boost employment and household income.
The £5.87m will also be used to increase pride and satisfaction within the local community.
To date, 20 projects, including a credit union development officer, have received a share of the cash.
In the first year, £1.7m is being spent on community initiatives. This will rise to £1.96m in 2009/10 and then to £2.21m the following year.
The money is also being used to provide training to youngsters leaving school.
