The Ministry of Assistance and Social Welfare (MINARS) has an Operative Plan that shall be part of the 2009/2012 quadrennial programme, with a series of activities that make up the country's reality, announced this Thursday here the incumbent minister, João Baptista Kussumua.
The official announced this at a meeting, held at the Palace of Congresses, with the Parliamentary Women's Caucus, led by MP Cesaltina da Conceição Major, which aimed at straightening the cooperation between both institutions.
Minister Kussumua stressed that the plan results from a series of actions and tasks that shall balance socially the efficient mechanism to assist the disadvantaged population.
In this framework, he said, the Welfare Ministry will also, as part of the government, contribute to the reduction of poverty in the country where there are still people who can complain about the aid and the operationalisation of the governance activity, for a full guarantee of citizenship.
Apart from this, he stressed that there are ongoing actions in the sector and that the Operative Plan is part of the Lei 07/04 of October 15, which is the law on social protection.
